Obvious unreliability of passwords and PIN codes - the traditional method of verifying users in mobile apps – is a serious problem of the modern information society. Passwords as well as smartphones themselves are easy to steal, and confidential information, such as credit card numbers, bank account numbers and passport details, is often at the disposal of the fraudsters.
Opus Research has released a report featuring the increasing role of smartphones in e-commerce, vulnerability of private data in mobile apps and the very effective way to protect one's personal information – bimodal biometric authentication. The report also describes SpeechPro’s VoiceKey.OnePass and how it demonstrates very high accuracy when called upon to detect imposters and prevent unwanted access to personal information or accounts.
